Save the Date - Breakfast with Santa on December 7th!

Save the Date! The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County will host its 22nd annual holiday event “Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 9:00-12:00pm at Legacy Middle School (11398 Lake Underhill Road).

In addition to Santa, the event will feature a pancake breakfast. Students from local schools will provide entertainment and there will be fun activities for children.  For an additional charge, children can have their photo taken with Santa.

Tickets for the pancake breakfast can be purchased at the event. The breakfast is hosted by over 100 student club members and is completely volunteer-driven.  All funds raised from this event are returned to the community through the club’s service leadership programs.

Wildcats Aktion Club

Several Kiwanians joined the meeting of the Wildcats Aktion Club in September 2019! Aktion club is the only community-service club for adults living with disabilities. Aktion Club allows members to develop initiative and leadership skills in serving their communities.

Easter Cheer Brought to Coalition for Homeless

Easter cheer was brought to the children at the Coalition for the Homeless on Easter weekend April 2019. Almost 50 children were treated to baskets filled with candy, stuffed animals, and toys. The Easter Bunny also visited and an egg hunt was held for the children. What a wonderful day!

Breakfast with Santa on December 8th

Children in the East Orange County area can enjoy a special visit with Santa in early December. The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County will host its 21st annual holiday event “Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, December 8, 2018 from 9:00-12:00pm at Legacy Middle School (11398 Lake Underhill Road).

The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County currently sponsors 13 service leadership clubs (K-Kids in elementary schools, Builders Club in middle schools, Key Club in high schools, and Circle K Club at UCF) which teach students about leadership and serving others in their community.

The K-Family Keeping our Community Clean!

Thanks to UCF CKI, Corner Lake Middle Builders Club, and East Orange County Kiwanis, the sidewalks in our community are a bit cleaner! On Saturday, September 22nd, over 40 K-Family members gathered to clean a half mile stretch of sidewalks on University Boulevard near UCF. It was a productive morning, and we appreciate all K-Family members and friends for coming out!

Kiwanis Breakfast with Santa Brings Holiday Cheer

Holiday cheer was brought to many children and families this year at the Kiwanis Club of East Orange County's 20th Annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 2nd!  Thank you to the following sponsors: Freedom Payroll, Krispy Kreme, Lucky's Market, Business Archives, Lowe's Home Improvement, The Home Depot, Bailey's Coffee Service, Wolfinger Law, Ashley Furniture Homestore, Bounce Orlando, and Legacy Middle School. Volunteering at Ronald McDonald House

Seven members and guests from East Orange County Kiwanis cooked dinner for families staying at Ronald McDonald House on Wednesday, March 31st! The Ronald McDonald House is associated with Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. A summer menu of hot dogs, mac and cheese, watermelon, salad, lemonade, and ice cream sandwiches was prepared for about 70 guests! Fun was had by all in preparing and serving the meal.

Kiwanis Outstanding Students of the Year!

The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County honored 14 students on the morning of Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at its Annual George Langguth Outstanding Student of the Year breakfast and awards ceremony. The program recognized top students who excelled among their peers in academics, school, and community service.  The students also hold memberships of a Kiwanis sponsored service leadership program: K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, or CKI.

During the ceremony, students received individual plaques and academic neck ribbons. Their names were also inscribed on a plaque displayed at each school. All of this would not have been possible without the gracious nominations of the educators and the support of family members. Congratulations to our outstanding students!

Celebrate Easter Time

Easter is one of our favorite times of year. We get the opportunity to provide fun and necessary items to families at the Coalition for the Homeless. Not only do we have an Easter Egg hunt for the kids, but we also give a bag of useful items and a filled Easter Basket to the families.
