Kiwanis Breakfast with Santa Brings Holiday Cheer

Holiday cheer was brought to many children and families this year at the Kiwanis Club of East Orange County's 20th Annual Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 2nd!  Thank you to the following sponsors: Freedom Payroll, Krispy Kreme, Lucky's Market, Business Archives, Lowe's Home Improvement, The Home Depot, Bailey's Coffee Service, Wolfinger Law, Ashley Furniture Homestore, Bounce Orlando, and Legacy Middle School. All proceeds benefit Service Leadership Programs (K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, CKI) in local schools.

Volunteering at Ronald McDonald House

Seven members and guests from East Orange County Kiwanis cooked dinner for families staying at Ronald McDonald House on Wednesday, March 31st! The Ronald McDonald House is associated with Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. A summer menu of hot dogs, mac and cheese, watermelon, salad, lemonade, and ice cream sandwiches was prepared for about 70 guests! Fun was had by all in preparing and serving the meal.

Kiwanis Outstanding Students of the Year!

The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County honored 14 students on the morning of Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at its Annual George Langguth Outstanding Student of the Year breakfast and awards ceremony. The program recognized top students who excelled among their peers in academics, school, and community service.  The students also hold memberships of a Kiwanis sponsored service leadership program: K-Kids, Builders Club, Key Club, or CKI.

During the ceremony, students received individual plaques and academic neck ribbons. Their names were also inscribed on a plaque displayed at each school. All of this would not have been possible without the gracious nominations of the educators and the support of family members. Congratulations to our outstanding students!

Celebrate Easter Time

Easter is one of our favorite times of year. We get the opportunity to provide fun and necessary items to families at the Coalition for the Homeless. Not only do we have an Easter Egg hunt for the kids, but we also give a bag of useful items and a filled Easter Basket to the families.
