Charity Poker Tournament for the Eliminate Project

Wow! It's hard to believe that this year's poker tournament is less than 2 weeks away! We have some great sponsors already, but we are still looking for more. The table sponsorship is only $100 and we are accepting donations to give as prizes to some of our lucky winners. First place is guaranteed a $500 Visa Gift Card and we are also guaranteeing that we will give out over $1000 in prices to the top 5 players. Kiwanis Run for the Kids - Superhero Dash!

The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County will host its 4th Annual Kiwanis Run for the Kids – Superhero Dash! on Saturday, February 8th at Blanchard Park in Orlando starting at 7:30am. 100% of all the funds raised will go back to support the local community, namely the club’s Service Leadership Programs – K-Kids, Builders Clubs, Key Clubs, CKI, and Aktion Clubs. These student-run clubs empower youth to become great leaders who are determined to make their community a better place. The Kiwanis Club of East Orange County sponsors 13 clubs in schools across Orange County. 

 Race check-in will begin at 6:30am at Blanchard Park, with the 5K race starting promptly at 7:30am and 10K race starting at 8:30am. Kids Races will be held for ages 1-2, 3-5, and 6-8 at 10:15am. Following the races, kids can enjoy inflatable games and activities. Awards will be presented to the top adult and child finishers in addition to the best super hero costumes. Chip timing will be provided by Fleet Feet.

Breakfast with Santa a Success

Thank you to all who attended the 16th Annual East Orange County Kiwanis Breakfast with Santa at Legacy Middle School!   On Saturday, December 7th, over 300 people gathered from our community for a wonderful holiday event featuring a pancake breakfast, photos with Santa, and performances from local schools.  Special thanks goes to Legacy Middle School for being the host school and to Mr. and Mrs. Claus for making a special trip from the North Pole.
